Great Gift Idea for Anytime!

Another Great and Quick Gift Idea!

I know as long as I have my Craftwell eCraft and my eCraft Vinyl I have the means to create a quick but perfect gift! I know that Christmas is over and the New Year is here but I still think there is a place for this cool present. I know that a birthday or just an everyday I love you gift can be made super quick but mean so much.

We have a new car owner and she is so excited with her new mobile baby. So just to personalize her auto, I made this cool license tag for her. Please excuse the holiday background but it is so cool.

 IMG_4427

The license plate is vinyl and cost only a few dollars off of ebay. I love putting a white or black shadow around my lettering so that it stands out.

IMG_3223

I love the eCraft Vinyl and it cuts so easy. I just use the one pressure setting on my eCraft  and cut away. No tabs please.

I weed the vinyl and low and behold it is done. I love seeing the happy faces that my machine makes. I feel sorry that it can’t experience the WOW factor that I do!

Thank you for stopping by and get ready for a brand new year. I am charged up for 2013 and all of the cool projects that are to come. I can’t wait to see what is new for the crafting community. Please share what you think might be coming out this year, what is your dream tool!

Happy New Year!

Christmas Diorama!

Christmas Diorama

I really have embraced the Christmas season with a fever. I had a dream about creating a lighted Diorama with snow and Santa. So I made it come true!

2012-12-02 21.54.27

I don’t know why but I really did dream about this. Only I was tiny and playing in the Sleigh with Santa.

So here it goes, The first thing I did was find the perfect papers for my project. I love the beautiful Foil papers that are out there so I found a wonderful assortment.  I used beautiful paper collections from The Paper Studio : Christmas Traditions with foil and Citrus Cardstock from DCWV.

I used SVG files purchased from SVGcuts. I enjoy their product line and thought that I could manipulate the files so that they would fit my needs.

My Craftwell eCraft again worked like a charm cutting cleanly all of my papers. I was so happy.

2012-11-30 14.37.12

I enlarged the file so that I could make the drum very large. See how clean my cuts are.’

2012-11-30 19.14.40

These papers actually made my project look like metal in real time.

2012-12-01 18.49.43

I enjoyed working on the project especially the tiny part that I shared with you in previous post.

2012-12-02 00.18.00

Next I built my scene. It required a platform to be inserted into the drum to hold all of the diorama.

2012-12-01 21.00.212012-12-02 16.36.03

Here you can see how tiny it really is. Those trees are painted and then dipped in flock. I worked very hard on the tiny pieces but was delighted with the wonderful cut I got with the eCraft.

2012-12-02 20.35.53

I actually made a light harness for the inside of the drum. So in addition to the velum for sunlight or exterior light to illuminate my project I also had the addition of my own tiny leds. I hope that you enjoy my projects.

I love sharing my creative spirit with you! I want to wish all of you a wonderful Christmas. i

Hanging Snowflake Gems

Hanging Snowflake Gems

Well with the holidays around the corner we are all busy getting ready. So when the center where we have our craft class is also needing some decorations. I volunteered to do (I am scared of heights) the hanging ones. I had an idea of what I wanted to create. But then I saw the glitter wrapping paper at Wally World.

2012-12-06 14.02.22

I knew in my heart that I wanted to create something with it. I also have just purchased a large cutting die for my eBosser. It is so pretty, a side note I hate the glitter part. It shedded glitter from one end of my hobby room to the other. I also recycled boxes to make the foundations for my snowflakes.

2012-12-06 14.13.27

I used my Sizzix Bigz Die - Daisy Blast with my A and C plates. it was so quick and easy to make so many pieces. I made the center section from the recycled boxes and then used the Glitter wrapping paper to cover it.

2012-12-06 14.22.08

After I glued both sides I was able to decorate with gems and then hang them. I can’t wait to see how the hall looks with all of them hung. I love my eBosser. It really helps me to be on top of my crafting game!

2012-12-06 18.33.30-2

I love the way they look!!!

Working on a Larger Scale!

Working on a Larger Scale

Well maybe I should clarify my meaning of larger scale. I am working on some really small minatures for a diorama for Christmas. I am so proud of the cut my eCraft did for me. I used a SVGcuts file from their Santa’s Visit Grouping. I love the way that it turned out. Just had to work with magnifiers and dental tools to work with it. I love the out come. Now I will post the larger project in the coming weeks.

I used some really wonderful paper, WorldWin eCraft Diecutable Color Mates!  This is some really nice solid color paper that is nice for 3d projects as well as your scrapbooking needs.

2012-12-02 13.11.35

I used some great foiled paper from The Paper Studio’s Christmas Traditions paper pack. I love the beautiful foils and it has Cardinals too!

2012-12-01 23.55.24

See how small this piece is. I used a brand new blade and it zipped right through. I love my Sleigh.

2012-12-02 02.04.05

I can’t believe how clean the rails for my Sleigh came out. I used Pearl paper by Coordinates for them. They are truly beautiful. I hope that you enjoy my project..just wait till you see the end result!

Happy Shopping Season!!!

Fall Is here and it is so colorfilled!

Fall is Here, Color Everywhere!

So often people think of spring as the season of color. Well coming from a place that is basically green all year round. By the way where I am from we have two seasons Hot and Hotter… When I recently had the fortunate to experience the change of season I was a child again! I ran through my yard with arms filled with gold, purple, and blood red leaves. I carried them around collecting more and more until my arms ached from the load. I was afraid they would blow away unless I collected them.
Well  I tried everything to preserve them but nothing could capture the color, until I realized that I could save them digitally. So take out the camera and save!
Well I want so much to show my Grand-daughter the beautiful colors of fall. I could ship her some leaves, but I decided to make her a little tote that she could carry with her. I decorated it with photos of  my beloved leaves!
toer
I had the best time using both my CraftwellUSA eCraft and my newest love my eBosser for this project. I love them both.  I also used Printonit.com’s 8.5" x 11" Opaque Dark Inkjet Iron On T-Shirt Transfer Paper. This transfer is really great and you can’t see through like other brands.
I used my inkjet printer to make a montage of all of my leaves and then printed out a sheet of them. I was able to cut the lettering out of my eCraft I used a very light pressure setting of two and it worked great for my “Fall”.
toer2
Then off to the eBosser to make my leaf shapes. I used thin metal dies made by Sizzix and they work wonderfullly in this machine.
20121011235222
I actually left the dies attached to the card and was able to cut them at one time. I love this so that I don’t misplace a die (I know you never do that right.) I am in love with my eBosser.
20121011235102
Can’t wait to get this in the post for my girl. Well have you gotten your eBosser yet? Please leave me a comment and let me know how you are using yours. I would love to hear from you! Happy Fall! Debi

Magnetic Treasures

Magnetic Treasures!

I was trying to decide which machine to use so I decided to use both my Craftwell eCraft and  eBosser. I love experimenting with them and I am currently working on gift ideas. I decided to make some magnets for my work board. I also considered making barrettes with these little embellishments but lost my bag with the barrettes I had purchased for this.

Supplies:
  •  Bake ‘N Shrink from Printonit.com
  • CraftwellUSA’s eCraft Die Cutting Machine
  • Pumpkin svg from MTC’s Gallery
  • Memories Mist
  • Xyron’s magnetic tape
  • Zing Heat Tool from CraftySteals (one of my favorites)
  • Sizzix label die
  • Craftwell eBosser
I love cutting the Bake N Shrink with my eCraft I set it on a pressure of 7 and no tabs selected. I also cut with out multiple passes. It works very well. I love using my eBosser.
2012-10-18 23.38.44

I used spray adhesive to use the pumpkin cut out as a mask on the film.
2012-10-18 23.39.31

I sprayed the Memories Mist before shrinking.   I have worked up my color and then use my Zing Heat Gun to shrink my pieces.Remember don’t overly darken your pieces because as they shrink they tend to appear darker. This is so much fun.
2012-10-19 00.56.12

I then used Xyron’s Magnetic tape on back of my pieces. I love the rich color and the way the clarity of the design remained.
Are you looking for table setting ideas? Well join me next week as I share my tablescape with you!

Ballerina Slipper Dreams

BALLERINA DREAMS!

My Grand-daughter is loving her Ballet class. She is dreaming of her day dancing away. So when I saw SVGcuts new CLARA'S CHRISTMAS EVE SVG KIT right away I saw the Ballet Slippers and had to make them. I also felt that  Carta Bella’s Paris Girl paper really fit the girly girl style I was looking for. So my eCraft and I went to work with some adhesive and ribbon and made some sweet slippers.

2012-11-09 00.00.59-2

The richness of  Carta Bella Paris Girl Paper Package really made my creation come to life. These papers produced a rich looking surface on my slippers. I can’t wait to send them off to her. I know she will hang them in her room and think of Grandma every time she sees them. I love her so.

Please be sure to check out Carta Bella and their beautiful papers!

Have a great week,

Candy Twist Card

Candy Twist Card

I was in great need of a card and decided to try my had at cardmaking. I  am in  love with Carta Bella Paper. My Craftwell machines, both the eCraft and the eBosser produce such great results with the paper as well. I love the eBosser and its clear and professional embossing.

I used the Peppermint card from SVGcuts’s Clara’s Christmas Eve Kit. I really love making it. I used Carta Bella’s Alphabet Junction paper collection.

2012-11-16 01.47.41

I used a lighter palette of color to achieve my card. I love look of it and hope to make many of them.
I love the pattern on the twist of the “mint”. The eBosser makes this process so easy on my hands. Many of my friends have asked about its cutting ability and if it would cut a variety of materials. I cheerfully answered YES.

2012-11-16 01.59.01

I used a button for my center embellishment and you will notice a star in the center of it. Well that is a soda can that I used a thin metal die to cut in my eBosser. It is so cool. Did you see the secret message on my card?? Well it is right there…..see the hugs and kisses on the red swirls. I am so glad that Carta Bella has this sweet paper.

Trick Or Treat for Later….

Trick or Treat for Mom, Dad Or all those over the age

So much of the holiday focus is on the younger set, but many adults also enjoy the holiday as well just in a little different way. So I have made a gift for the hostess of the Halloween Party that I will attend.
It is a Blood Red Wine!
wine
I was trying to come up with a special hostess gift and this one feels like it meets my  requirements.
Supplies:
  • Bake ‘N Shrink from Printonit.com
  • CraftwellUSA’s eCraft Die Cutting Machine
  • Zing Heat Tool from CraftySteals
  • Red Ribbon
  • Acrylic paints
  • bottle of wine!
  • I created the SVG (I will post a link to a free download later)
I used my eCraft to cut out the fangs and also used my eCraft to make the holes for the ribbon in them. It was a quick and easy decoration for a neat gift.

2012-10-05 00.15.32
My cut out of Heat Shrink. I love this stuff. It can make so many things.

A Little Fall Artwork!

A Little Fall Artwork!

I am so fortunate to be able to bring paper crafting to a group of people who love any craft and art work more than you would imagine. Fridays is my go to Crazy Crafting with Debi at the local Senior Center. We make all types of paper and other crafting projects. So when decorations were needed we decided to meet the task!
This is not your usual wall art but actually a “work” of art or at least the premise of…
acorns
This was made with  SVGcuts’s acorn and squirrel from their Acorn Autumn set. I used construction paper from the Dollar Store for the large leaves and poster board for the backing. I used  WorldWin Papers made some cool looking acorns and also my buddy, Squirrel. I  used my Craftwell eBosser to emboss the pattern on the acorn and also on my squirrel’s hat. I was so excited to use  inks and acrylic paints to push the drama of my background. The brown background accents you see on the backing are acrylic paints put down with  watercolor brush strokes.
We have about ten more to go and I am hoping to send some photos to my blog when we finish! I want you to see the fun we have had!

Royal Spin!

Happy Halloween with a Royal Spin!

Well Halloween is almost upon us and is easily spotted with all of the pumpkins, witches and bats out there. I love a traditional spooky Halloween holiday but having a Grand-daughter who is enamored with Princesses makes it hard.
So in honor of my “Princess” I made a “glass” slipper to hold some of her candy treats for the Halloween Eve!
shoe
Supplies:
  • Craftwell’s eCraft Die Cutting System
  • Craftwell’s eBosser (the coolest embosser out there)
  • MY FAV Worldwin papers De-Lights Champagne Bubbles (it is a Holographic paper)
  • eCraft Diecutable Color Mates! (I used pink for the inside, and yellow for the pompom on the shoe!
  • Sizzix Texture Plates with hearts as the focus for the lining of the shoe.
  • Quick dry glue
  • Xyron taping gun
  • ultra fine glitter for the embellishment of the pompom
  • SVGcuts Witches’ shoe

I used my Craftwell eCraft to cut out four of the Witches’ shoe files.  Two out of the beautiful WorldWin De-lights metallic paper (Settings pressure 6, no tabs, and one cut) and then I selected a pink from the eCraft Diecutable Color Mates!  I used my eBosser to make the texture on the inside of the shoe and also on the sole of the shoe. I love this machine it works so nicely and my hands love it. I am working on a “letterpress” method for printing my Holiday Cards currently.
2012-09-20 20.09.132012-09-20 20.08.25
The shoe went together so easily. I lined it with the pink cardstock to give it a richness. I am very happy with the crispness that my eCraft cuts the WorldWin cardstock. I also used a ribbon to use to embellish the “buckle” strap.
I hope that you enjoy my offering please leave me a comment on your child’s favorite costume and tradition for Halloween.

WorldWin Wins My Heart!

WorldWin Treasure Box

I am in love, I am in love with WorldWin Papers. I can’t believe how beautiful they are. These papers lend themselves to a beauty that doesn’t have to be overly embellished to create a treasured outcome!
2012-08-30 21.31.56
I delight in knowing that I created a beautiful little box that looks like a metal box and is paper. I love the Fern Vellum and can’t wait to purchase more! This is so much fun to use!
Supplies:
WorldWin Petallics! in a beautiful Copper Ore.
What a beautiful sheen it has!
2012-08-30 16.16.20
WorldWin Floral Vellum in the Ferns design!
2012-08-30 21.37.18
My CraftwellUSA eCraft Die Cutting machine! I used a setting of 8 with a cardstock stabliizer. No tabs with this one!
I also used WorldWin solid eCraft Diecutable  Color Mates!
2012-08-30_21-05-21_928
I cut a beautiful little box out of my Petallics paper. I used a little Studio 9 pigmented ink to “age” the “metal” of my treasure box.
2012-08-30 21.06.15
I used the beautiful Vellum to make a underlayment for my box top. I love the solid ferns placed in-between the layers of vellum. They really enhance the fern effect of the vellum
2012-08-30 21.05.41
I love the way this project has come together. I know that it is the great supplies that I was able to use!
2012-08-30 21.33.57
These great papers can really help make your projects “great treasures!”
I wish to send my thoughts and prayers to those wonderful people who have suffered great loss in the terrible weather event caused by Hurricane and tropical storm Isaac. I was as many of you personally touched by this and know that we will come back from this tragedy. Know that you are in my heart!
Prayers and thoughts for all!

Here we go! Here is an idea for a locker or desk

In our family and also our friends’ families as well photos rule the day. Our young people love taking photos of each other and displaying them as well. We are always looking for ideas to find ways to make picture hanging simple, fun, and inexpensive, but still looking so good!
So I have come up with a quick photo frame that can be hung in the locker or displayed on a desk with room permitting.
2012-08-27 00.58.00
This was so much fun to make I used chipboard from cracker and cookie boxes to make my frame. I love the idea that the photos can be easily slid out or in for a change of focus. I also have an easel for quick standing or you can use a 3M Command strip for hanging in your locker! You can change the photos as you want!
onepx
My Craftwell eCraft made a great “postage” stamp frame for my photo holder. It was cut with a pressure of 7 and multicut 2. I cut two pieces and used a water based glue to attach them to each other. I then painted it with acrylic paint.
2012-08-26 23.30.422012-08-26 23.30.58
I used the chipboard again to make a quick easel to stand my frame. Just remember you can also use the command strips as well.
2012-08-27 00.57.34
I love how easy and fun it is to make embellishments for my projects as well. Here I used the Craftwell Pro Software to weld my numbers together, then I added a shadow for a dramatic and yet fun embellishment!
2012-08-26 23.32.49
I also used a folder to give a slight bit of texture to my Bazzill cardstock frame. I used a photo protector to make the “envelope” which protects the photos from scratches and such.
Just think of how much fun and how many “frames” can fill the inside of a locker door. I am looking forward to helping out with some cute holiday frames and also to share my “stuff” and see what my young friends come up with!
Now just remember that there are other sites to hop along to, your next hop is
then it is off to the main Craftwell site to gather some free svg files as well as a chance to win an eCraft!
Looking forward to seeing you next week!!
Hope that every day is a wonderful one!
