Potpourri Vase for Spring Scent

Potpourri Vase for Spring Scents

For my special home décor project I decided to make a holder for some wonderful Potpourri. Not just any  but some great homemade Rose Potpourri. I a very fortunate to have come from a family that seems to love all things, crafty and fun.  So long ago I learned the art of drying flowers to make sachets, and also Potpourri. The scent is soft and sweet and if allowed out of the sealed jar gives the room a wonderful fragrance.

I just love using my Lawn Fawn paper collections to create with. I used a paper from Daphne’s Closet. It was so sweet and filled with blooms. I also used a solid paper from WorldWin papers. I used a free SVGcuts file to make my scent jar. Their site offers a free soldier jar and this is what I used to create my vase.   I  used my eCraft with a pressure setting of eight to cut this sweet little vase.

I love spring and can’t wait till it arrives fully. Please let me know what you are crafting during this great month devoted to crafting!

Flip Card for Mother’s Day

FLIP CARD FOR MOTHER’S DAY

I am in love with the New Crafter’s Companion USA EZ Mount stamp sets!  I have the

Party Paws EZMount Stamp Set - Flowers From Bamboo

collection.  The panda is so cute! I love the fine lines it produces. I have not seen such great rendering of fine lines as this stamp produces.  I also really enjoy their line of  Embossing folders too! I have the

8" X 8" Embossalicious Embossing Folder - Celtic Frame. I love it as well. Well done and really work well in my eBosser.

This is a swing card. I love it. I used a file made by a lady named Julie. I was so thrilled to find that I could actually scan the stamped image of the stamp in my software and then I could select blackout and then send the outcome to my eCraft. Then I could take the stamp and stamp it on the cut black out. I love that technique.

I used StazOn ink to reproduce my stamped image. I also used splash inks and colored pencils to add color to my image!

I can’t wait for you to see the message inside so be sure to visit my blog for the message! Thank you so much Crafter’s Companion USA for the wonderful items you company produces! I can not wait to order more!

Have a wonderful week and be sure to stop by my blog for the message!

Time is Short but Sweet!

Time is Short but Sweet!

Time is going so fast. My grand-daughter was born just yesterday or so it seems. But no she is growing up. She is graduating from Kindergarten very soon.  So for a special gift for her remembrances, I made a little book for her to capture her days events. I know that she will enjoy this little “autograph” style book.

It was so easy to make with my Craftwell’s eBosser. I used a 12 inch Sizzix die to make the book. Then I used a wonderful folder made by Craftwell to make my cover background. I love the wonderful large folders that fit my eBosser.

I used some chalks to refine the edges of the design. I love the great little embellishments that I used made by K&Company. I can’t wait to see if she puts photos in it or if some of her friends can at their age sign their names.

I love all of life’s great moments. I hope that I catch this one and hope for many great memories for you!

Have a great week,

A Just for Fun Project

A Just for Fun Project

I wanted to try something different and fun. I love flowers and wanted to try a little something different. I took a double switch plate and made it into a switch plate with a bouquet of flowers on it.

I used my eCraft and some great 3d flower files from Svgcuts.com. After cutting out my flower shapes I formed the gentle curves to form the blooms shape. Now for the totally strange thing I dipped the flowers and used my heat gun to coat each petal with UTEE. I love how they  became like gems. The dogwood looks like a beautiful frosted crystal bloom.

I used E-6000 glue to adhere to the light switch. I have this in my dining room and it really looks cute. I also have had guest comment on it as well and they really like it. I love crafting and creating with my eCraft!

See you next week!
