Merry Altered Christmas Jean!

I loved crafting a special item for Jean Moore the wonderful energy filled force behind AlteredPages! Jean is filled with so much positive ideas for women. She knows how far we have come and that this is really only the beginning. I used one of altered pages collage sheets to show a young female factory worker in the sweat shop pausing for a moment to reflect on the Dream! I hope that we all continue the journey and pursue our dreams of equality, equal pay and enjoyment of many of the rights that our ancestors fought  for women.

I used chipboard for my base. I coated it with white gesso from AlteredPages. I used a stamp from one of the Box o' Rubber from AlteredPages. I also used the Antique Sewing collage sheet from AP. I used my on hand eBrush to do the red tint and the oversprayed it with the black marker. I used an on hand wand stamp. The glitter effect was created by using some glitter mixed with Art Anthology Crystals from AlteredPages. I used another on hand stamp for the word dream but used my Delicata silver stamp pad and also my favorite StazOn jet black ink pad! I used an on hand adhesive for all. I then coated with a layer of Crystal Lacquer waiting tilll it thicken and drawing my brush through it for brush strokes!I added some gel pen color to make the focal areas of interest as well.

I love the cool products that AlteredPages carries. The products make my expression of art so much fun!

Jean thank you so much for all and I hope that you enjoy your book!

You can see all of the links for the pages in Jean's book here.

Button It in a UP Blog Hop!

I love buttons and have hundreds of them. I also love birds and we won’t go there. I did make my project in memorial to a bird that was so beautiful. I got a call in the middle of the night about an Owl that had been struck by a car. I have been involved with pet bird rescue for years and can’t seem to get people to understand that I don’t do wild bird rescue but heck sometimes you just have to do what is right. So off I went.
He didn’t make it but I was so taken by his beauty that I made my button project to celebrate his beauty. My creation is not to made to be a copy but only a reminder of the beauty which is wild and free.

My Who Who Who has the Button was created with buttons and several items available from AlteredPages.com .
2014-08-14 00.01.01
Supplies:
Paper Towel Roll
Scissors
Buttons for eyes and feet
Markers to color white buttons
Craftwell eBrush
handmade paper for chest feathers
baby ball trim available from AlteredPages
Wooden disc for stand
woven plastic from dog food bag
Glue
Doily Paper for eye rings from AlteredPages
Gold foil for beak
I had many of the items I used on hand but was so delighted that I had received the beautiful paper that had a doily design on it from AlteredPages. It made my project come to life!
First I cut a paper towel roll to make a pillow case out of one end.
10627826_10203264431826268_709903432_o
I completed the “owl” body with another piece of roll cut down the middle and shaped into wings.
10590982_10203264467107150_28337587_o
Next I used my eBrush to spray brown marker over the surface of the paper roll.
10614675_10203264472267279_119413682_o
If you don’ t have an eBrush don’t worry just take your marker and lightly color it.

I selected several buttons to use to construct my “Owl”. Those that need to be in a specific color I used my on hand markers to tint them.
10614781_10203264640791492_1170698920_o10627778_10203264648711690_761583824_o10612438_10203265055801867_134606901_o
I love the design of doilies on this paper from AlteredPages for my Owl’s eye rings. They really do bring it all together!
10594364_10203265167604662_571712368_o
I used the Baby Ball Trim from AlteredPages to really add some cool texture to my project. I also used an adhesive spray to cover the trim with the beautiful glitter from AlteredPages.
I had on hand some handmade papers that  I used to make the feathers on his chest. I am so happy with my outcome. I hope you enjoy my project and I am looking forward to seeing yours too!

Apologies to all my posts didn't upload  for some reason only the fourth of July card....I can't seem to get it to work....

For my Hop post I created a Fourth of July card. I love my eBosser, eBrush and Xyron adhesives! When I am creating with them all I consider it a triple threat!!!
10474483_10202852953379564_509788872_o
I simply love creating with all of my great tools. I started with my eBosser and used one of the Spellbinders M-Bossabilities Embossing Folders to create the wonderful patterns on my stars! I actually embossed them first then used my eBosser to cut them out! I used a silver stamp pad to make the design pop!
10474633_10202852778015180_1512361269_o (1)

10477751_10202852776615145_1946081553_o (1)
Next I used Pearl Paper for the card.  I prepared it with a fun “4” stamped on it. Then I used my eBrush to embellish it further.
10485291_10202852864777349_455273062_o

I wanted to apply the stars to my card and I love how my Xyron sticker maker handles any small piece that I put through it.
10439098_10202852852657046_351646084_o
I used my smaller Xyron machine to make my Ribbon stick to my project too!

10457399_10202852860057231_82562951_o
Then it was time to put it all together. I do love how my project came out. I hope you enjoyed my tutorial. Best of luck to you with this great hop!

My Memories!

My Memories!

I have truly enjoyed my time as a Design Team Member for CraftwellUSA. I have grown so much in so many ways. I have developed friendships that I hope will last forever. I have met people that I have only dreamed about meeting! Who would have ever thought that buying a crafting tool would lead to such a wonderful outcome. I end this wonderful time with my personal new little Scrapbook.
b1
I am so excited to begin a new day and a new focus in my life. So to celebrate I created this booklet.  I feel that this cover really reflects me. Thank you Teresa Collins for your great paper collections and embossing folders. Your collections really reflect so much of me!
b4
This is all from Teresa Collin’s “Hello My Name is” paper collection. I love the papers and sentiments reflected in this collection. One of my favs is the passage by “Jack Kerouac”, he writes about how those who choose to be different so change the world!
b2
I would love to believe that I have change a little piece of the world by sharing my humble works and growing with you!
Much Love to All,

Craftwell’s eBrush My New Bestie!

Craftwell’s eBrush My New Bestie!

The eBrush made its worldwide debut on Monday, March 24!  I have a new best friend! I love my eBrush! It can do so many things. Today I am sharing my T-Shirt embellishment session!
e2
This is super easy to accomplish with a great tool like the eBrush! First select your garment. I put it over a cardboard sheet so that the ink didn’t got through to the other side.
I used a spray adhesive to put my lace on my shirt.
e5
Next I put a heart stencil that I cut with my eBosser  on top!
e6
Make sure that you cover the rest of your shirt as overspray can mess up your design unless that is  in your plan!
Now for the reveal!!! I love this part!
e9
Peeling that lace off look sooo good!
I next put some finishing hand touches with my Spectrum Noir markers!
e8
Add a little ribbon!
e10
It is done!!! I am so happy to have my Ebrush!
I can’t wait to share more with you!
e3
I am in Love!

I hope you are loving your eBrush, join our facebook group eBrush by Craftwell!

Happy Birthday! The Card is in the Mail!

Happy Birthday Card!

I am so in love with Teresa Collins Papers and Embellishments. I love her collections. I used her “Save the Date” for my card this week!

bir1

I used Teresa Collins “Save the Date” paper collection for my scalloped focal point.

I used Spellbinders extra large scallop set to cut and emboss my focal pieces. My Craftwell eBosser works with so many popular dies and embossing folders!

I used the sequins from You are My Happy from Teresa Collins.

bir2

The Ribbon was from the dollar store and embellished with liquid pearls. I love the embossing on the card from a M-bossibility folder.  My eBosser is incredible!

My mom will love it!

Wait till you see my wrap up project next week!

Best,

Debi

Post it to my Heart!

Post Note Holder

I have just loved working with Teresa Collins papers and embossing folders. They really help me express my inner thoughts in a tangible way!

I used Teresa Collins  “Save The Date” collection! It is uber cute~ .

cfolder5

My card is a side step card. I used Spellbinder’s dies to cut my frame pieces. I also used two of Teresa Collins embossing folders made especially for the eBosser.  The ones  used are called, Twill Herringbone and Sophicated. I love their deep emboss. In the paper package there was a sheet of “polaroid” type photo mats and I used those for my dividers.

I used assorted inks and adhesives to construct my divider file. I am so happy that I have been able to share my work with you for so long! Please keep my blog page in your files for checking up later!

cfolder4

The love letters are from an adhesive sticker sheet in the “Save the Date” collection! I really know that Teresa’s collections have it all and work so well with the Craftwell eBosser. In face Teresa has her special Teresa Collins’ eBosser!

Please don’t forget to check out her design page! Teresa Collins’ Blog!

Thank you for joining me, Spring is on the way!

I am so Happy!

I am so Happy! I love Hello, my name is!

One of my favorite paper designers summed it all up with her new paper collection, “Hello My Name Is” I love the wonderful creativity it stirs in me! I love the pop-up card I made this week with her collection this week!

pop7

This is the outside view of my card! I used Teresa Collins stickers to produce the Happy as well as the sentiment, Thankful for This.

I used my Spellbinders Edgeabilities to make my edges. I love using my eBosser!

The Metal piece is a find from the Dollar Store, I used one of the stickers found in the Teresa Collins collection. I love the Happy circle and was delighted to see it fit in the Metal embellishment I used. I also used her “Thankful for This” sticker to add to my card.

Now when the card is open it thrills me!

pop5

I used my Sizzix pop-up die to create the base for my pop-ups. I used a flower steel ruled die to cut the flower loops. I am so delighted that my husband and grandchildren pop-up to greet!

You can see the wonderful sentiment assortment that I used on my card.

I trimmed my paper to fit my die, so I would not waste any of my beloved collection!

The die cut the paper out so beautifully, it also had the fold lines neatly pressed into the paper! Very easy to make my folds!

I also used one of Teresa Collins embossing folders made especially for the eBosser.  The one I used is called, Twill Herringbone. I love it. I also used a Playcolor Metallic Tempera paint stick to highlight the stripes.

pop4

I love this collection and encourage you to try one of Teresa Collins collections. This one is so much fun!

Have a wonderful week!
