Write to my Heart Box and eCwik video!

Write to my Heart Trinket Box and eCwik Video Tip

I want to finish out this month’s great sponsors’ products with another item that I will enjoy as well as remember the fun I had making it.

Thank you so much to Unity Stamps for their Birds of a Feather stamp set. I truly will see myself using them again and again! I wish they were even large format 4 to 8 inches and I would be stamping all of my kitchen items with them!

I also want to thank eCraft Diecutable Cardstock from The PaperMill Store for the beautiful array of rich colors. I enjoy the swatch booklet as I can take it with me to select items to match to it for my products. I wish other companies would follow suit.

I also have enjoyed using my eCraft with this project. The medallions cut easily and I loved embossing them. A job for the future eBosser!!!

Right now one of the biggest crazes in textile art is the Gelli Plate. It is a reusable “gelatin” slab used to brayer inks and stamps images on. It can be then used to place images on cloth for further embellishment. Back in the day before the easy days of purchasing supplies easily, we used unflavored gelatin in a pan to make our own “printing” plates. There are a great many online tutorials for making these.

I printed the back and then used on of the elements on a Unity Stamps stamp to create the heart and flourish decoration.  I then used my Prismacolor pencils to shade them in. Next I used my Craftwell’s eCraft die cutting machine to make the medallions, I also used a Sizzix embossing die for the hearts, and also a partial emboss of one of the dies for the Write medallion. I used my Card Stock - eCraft Diecutable Cardstock from The PaperMill Store for the red medallion. I used a paper with a white core to do the other. I then softly sanded the paper to show the white under paper for dramatic effect.

I also used 3L Adhesive 3d tabs for the raised appearance of my medallions.

I will treasure my Heart box! I never make anything just for me and this is it!!!

It is time to not forget you!!  Make something just for you today!!

Please enjoy my Video it is short but sweet and shows more about using the eCraft software!

By the way…..

Happy Mardi Gras!!!

Valentine’s Party Trinket Box and Trinket Necklace!

Happy Valentines’ Day

I am so lucky to have my Challenge day fall on the most loving of all holidays. Valentines’ Day is a day for me to cherish all those that I care for. I love my family and friends and could see them all enjoying a wonderful evening together. I also will love when I can present them with their Valentines’ trinket gift and box.

main

I was so excited when I saw this great trinket box file. I could see all kinds of uses for it. Polly Pocket boxes for my little grand daughter, all kinds of stuff. I love it. You can get it at http://www.creationsbyar.com/ there are many cute designs and very reasonable files there.  You will also see my  heart ribbon necklace. I also love to create one of a kind pieces for my friends. This project was so much fun.

Supplies:

Peek-A-Boo Box Template

Card Stock - eCraft Diecutable Cardstock from The PaperMill Store

“Birds of a Feather” from Unity Stamps

Prismacolor Pencils from JoAnn's Fabrics

Colorbox Ink pad from Hobby Lobby

CraftwellUSA’s eCraft Personal Die Cutting System!

Adhesive  - 3L Adhesive

Sizzix heart embossing folder (wish I had the eBosser)

Shrinky Dink film from JoAnn's Fabrics

Ribbon from Joann’s Fabrics

Zing Heat Tool from CraftySteals (one of my favorites)

Glass Heart Sentiments from Local Dollar Store

I love to make unique items to share. So when this challenge arose I was thinking so hard I almost miss it. The first thing I created was my little box. I was so easy loaded my solid eCraft Diecutable Cardstock and was off.  I used my trusty eCraft to make quick work of cutting out my boxes. I folded them together and very quickly they were done. I am very happy with the design. The little box is designed like the old match boxes. The little drawer slides out and you can put so much inside. I also covered the hole with cellophane. To add to the finish.

021020122707

I love the heart pattern that I embossed on it.

Next for my necklace, this was so easy to make and again I used my eCraft to cut it out. I used Shrink Dink film to produce the main charm. It shrinks 50 percent of its original size. I love this stuff it cuts so neatly in my eCraft. You cut it first and then take fine sand paper and gently buff it and then stamp it. You can use colored pencils on it, and or markers as well. I opted for stamping and coloring with my prismacolor pencils.

021020122706

I worked on it till I was satisfied with the color. Next I took my Zing heat gun and watched it shrink. It was so cool. By the way make sure that you put your holes in it before you heat shrink it as it will crack if not. (how do I know this??) When it was cool, I placed jump rings on it and added my beads. I used a beautiful red ribbon to hang it on. I love the way that it turned out. I will be so excited to see my friends’ faces when they open their gift box…

I really enjoy making so much with my eCraft. The sky is the limit or at least your imagination is. Join me on a creative journey Please leave a comment and let me know about your creations. I would love to see them.

Happy Valentines’ Day to all!

Just remember this, “Will you be my Valentine?”

See you next week

To Hot to Handle!

I love Valentine’s Day and being from a great Cooking state (Louisiana) food and love go hand and hand.

So for my project I decided to give my love some jazzed up goodies for his cooking pleasure! He loves to cook and I am very grateful. So I was totally up for this project.

Hot Love Baby!!!

This is a quick and easy no sew project! You can sew if you like but I know how busy many are today!

Supplies:

Hand Mitt and Pot Holders from DollarTree!!!

My favorite “Birds of a Feather” Unity Stamps

one fat quarter or scraps from JoAnn's Fabrics

Fabrico Fabric Markers from SewThankful

CraftwellUSA’s eCraft Personal Die Cutting System!

Heat ‘n Bond heavy (not for sewing) Use the lite if you want to sew it from Walmart

Fundementals 1 Sd card (Came with eCraft)-

Card:

Card Stock - eCraft Diecutable Cardstock from The PaperMill Store

“Birds of a Feather” from Unity Stamps

Prismacolor Pencils from JoAnn's Fabrics

Colorbox Ink pad from Hobby Lobby

CraftwellUSA’s eCraft Personal Die Cutting System!

Adhesive  - 3L Adhesive

IMG_4834

I purchased the pot holders from DollarTree for just 2.00 WOW! I had the dotted Fat Quarter hanging around.  I quickly fused the Heat ‘N Bond to the back of the fabric and placed in my eCraft for quick cutting. I selected the heart design and was able to double cut it so I would have a heart with a hole in the middle for my design. I also used a free SVG from SVGcuts for my trim piece. I love the khaki and red contrast.I did do my stamping before I ironed the pieces on my holders. I stamped with fabric markers so that it would stay during washing. I even colored them it was so relaxing. I took the trim piece and slide it under the edge of the bias on the mitt. I ironed all on very fast. Now you could have stitched around all of this but I like the look that I have.

I hope that you enjoy my quickie project. It can be used for so much more! Hey we are only limited by our imagination! Get out there and love what you do! Wait till you see what I got you for Valentines’ Day next week!!!

Little Birdie Told Me

A Little Birdie Told Me

A little birdie told me that “chicks” grow so fast. So here I am celebrating our baby “birds”. I love my family, and my grandchildren are number one. I love my new habit (hobby) using paper….well I will go back to fabric one day soon. I am so amazed at all that you create. So honoring all of you paper crafters I have tried to use some of the techniques I have learned from you! So here goes my first SCRAPBOOK page!

IMG_4707

Supplies

I love the New eCraft Diecutable Cardstock and used it to build my page. I then trimmed a sheet of the DCWV Musings as my background for this “birdie” page. I love the wonderful cutting files on my eCraft SD card and quickly cut frames and the back of the little birdie out of Pearls Paper. I embossed the embellishment on the frame windows. Sized my photos and threaded ribbon through them.  Worked my placement on background and then inserted brad at the intersection point. I used my pencils to embellish die cuts and then the fun. I love the Unity Stamp set “Birds of a Feather”. I place them in various ways I stamped them in black and colored with pencils. Then I tried some glue and glittered the image. I love this new medium, well new to me!

I hope you enjoy my “Chicks” I know that I enjoy all of yours!

See you soon!

Welcome to you . My project for the hop is this little heart shaped luminary. I made it from a SVGcuts “Love Me Do” set. I modified the sides to be deep enough to place a tea light in. I used my favorite card stock from eCraft Diecutable Cardstock from The PaperMill Store. The pattern paper was from an assortment of papers from JoAnn's Fabrics.  I used a heart shape cut out on the front of the luminary. I love my Unity Stamps ,” Birds of a Feather” set. I knew it would be perfect for my luminary.  I stamped  it on silk shantung using my colorbox inks to make the light window. I also used my Prismacolor markers to produce the rich color tones!  I made feet from two additional heart cut outs. and punched holes and threaded cord thru to embellish my light box.

I know that everyone likes or at least might have seen “Sweethearts” candies. Well DO I have a deal for you. Leave a comment on my blog below this post, and these glass heart beads could be yours. Remember not for use around small children or pets..

Happy New Year! 2012 here I come!

Happy New Year! 2012 is the year to experience your dreams!

eCrafting my inspirations!

Hello All! I am Debi Tullier (to-yay) I am a jack of all trades and a master of none, but that is where the fun is!!!

I am delighted to be back with the eCraft Design Team! I am looking forward to all of the wondrous adventures ahead with my eCraft.  I am so thankful for the inspiration that I receive from my fellow crafters and hopefully I will also inspire someone to open their crafting cupboard!

My Project is my One Word Inspire Box. I have a good friend that uses this to set her yearly goals. She uses a word to set her goal for the year. I am not a long term person and need to have inspiration on a daily basis. So my word for this month is Inspire and each day I take a slip of paper and write down one word. This slip goes into my inspire box. Next month I will draw one word a day and use it to grow my creative palette.

.st

Ingredients for Inspire Box:

bg

This wonderful DCWV cardstock spoke to me. I had to have it as my Inspiration Box cover. It speaks of all I hold dear. Family, Journeys, Adventures and so much more. How wonderful that it in itself is an inspiration.

My eCraft Cutting System was ready to take on the task of cutting out my one piece box.

cutter

I set the pressure to 3, No tabs, Cap on and cardstock stabilizer used.

Very quickly the box was cut and ready to be assembled. I used my favorite 3L Crafty Power Tape. I love the Super tack of this tape!

Next I put in the eyelet to make a catch for my beautiful little box.

eyelet

I threaded in a small piece of cording to make a catch for the lid.

Next I used my fav Crafting Tool the I-Top 2 for my button cover brad!

I first place a inked dot with the word “Inspire” on the cover then covered it with sheer fabric.

I made the ribbon rosetta very easily.

sro

I just hand sewed the edge and pulled and tied it to form a rosetta.

ro

I then placed the button cover brad in the hole and placed it upon my little box.

bu

Now for my new Beginning! I am ready to motivate myself into 2012’s best creative year ever!!!

I hope you will join me! Happy New Year to all and the hope for more to come!

I decided to create a lighted  gift box for Celeste’s Birthday Hop!

Happy Birthday to Celeste!

I am so fortunate that SVGcuts has such wonderful products. I saw their latest offering the “Love me Do” svg kit and I actually scrubbed my original project. I saw such great opportunities for creating more with Mary’s great insight. I took her candy box and made it my own “Birthday Cupcake Gift Box” it also doubles as a luminary after it has been emptied.

Mary’s design had a heart cut out on the front of the box. I decided to take it a step further and use a cupcake instead. It was a very simple task to add this cute svg and join them together. I put a sheet of opaque fabric inside so that you could put a light in the box and it would flick through like a candle was lit inside. I also applied a tag with a welded Happy Birthday svg from Miss Vickie’s.

I used baker’s twin to make the lucious icing on Celeste's cupcake. Don’t worry it is calorie free!

!cid__010620122536

This was cut with my Craftwell’s eCraft cutting system.

!cid__010620122534

I also designed a wall hanging to watch over your Birthday Dreams!

sweet dreams

These cute fabric characters were cut out on the eCraft cutting system using clip art. Ifsand then the Sun got his sweet face from Peach Keen Stamps. I know that they will watch over
Celeste!

Lastly I also decorated something for Celeste’s smaller friends.

onesie

I love how easily fabric can be cut with my cutter. I decorated this onsie with beautiful blossoms which snap off for washing or you could leave them on. I love playing with my machine, and I thank Celeste for all of the tips and techniques that you have shared with me.

One more time Happy Birthday to you!!!
