I know that Valentine’s Day is over but the lovely month is ripe for celebrating the love we have for each other! I would love to see it practiced every day instead of just one month! So I will continue this week with the love of the card. This is not a folded card but on that sits on the desk wide to exclaim my passion!

Fun Valentine’s Card

Happy Card!

I have had so much fun using my eBosser and my inks and glitter.  I even got to use my Gelli Plate to do some cool pearly swirls on my crazy card!
vcar2
I used my eBosser with Sizzix embossing folders to produce the love label and the heart back ground. I love the effects I can get from my great machine!
vcar3
I love the way my heart looks. I made the texture with my Gelli Plate. I love being able to make my own Papers to use with my projects.
vcar4
I used some great spray color, Dylusions to produce the pink and orange Love U Much! I love the crisp emboss I get with the eBosser.
I think that having fun is the most important reason that I craft. I love making cards and this was also a great learning experience for me! Have a great week!

Jeans are ripe for embellishing!

Jean Detail!!

I am so crazy for using fabric with my eBosser. I love pushing the envelope and seeing what I can do with my machine. So without much fuss I created a reverse applique in just a few minutes! It looks great and I can either leave it raw edged or sew down the edges.
This is super fun and just think you can have your favorite shape  added to your jeans or jean jacket. I suggest that you always test first on another item to practice first!
Supplies:
Craftwell eBosser
jeans (take a pair of old ones first)
fabric for the reverse applique
Heat’n Bond
Iron
steel ruled die (sizzix, accuquilt) your favorite one (use a smaller one though)
First apply the Heat’n Bond to the area that you are choosing to cut. I put the die inside of my pants leg and then smoothed the remaining fabric around it under the A Plate. I was able to use the C-Plate and then top with the A-Plate. The cut was smooth.

This is my first step applying the Heat’nBond to the back of the area that I am going to cut. I don’t iron long as it will absorb into the fabric if you hold to long.

Now this is just to show you after cutting the flourish out I ironed the focus fabric to the heat’n bond so it would show through. I just put the excess cut out on the piece to show you.

This is a photo of the light press I did to make sure I like how the pattern fell into the cutout. I really enjoyed making this.
Here is my finished pant leg. I can’t wait to wear these. I am very happy with my fancy pants!  I might add a little bling to them as well!
I hope all of you are well and that the cold subsides soon. I am so happy to think that spring might come one day!
best,

Valentine’s Treat Box!

Valentine’s Treat Box!

I love Valentine’s Day and am always looking for ways to treat my family! I decided to get out my fabric and make a cute box for chocolate treats!
v1
I used my eBosser and my Accuquilt rag die to cut out my fabric!
v2
For each box I need five pieces for the outside and five for the inside as well as interfacing. I can cut all in one go!
I love how much time my eBosser saves me!
v3
I felted the hearts I used on the sides with my Babylock Embellisher. I love felting and then I sewed them on!
v5
These made great little boxes but I could have made them larger to hold some of my desk clutter or other gift items.
It is so much fun to create these sewn boxes.I hope you might consider giving it a try!
See you next week,

Center Rise Card Pulls a Double!

Center Rise Card Pulls a Double!

Having an ill family member is no fun, especially when miles make the separation even further! So for my recouping family member (in a cardiac rehab) I came up with a stand up card to remind  them of my love and devotion!
I am so happy that I have Teresa Collins Paper and Embellishents! They really help me express my feelings!

I love this center rise card style. It allows me to have a double sided greeting and looks great, too!
I used my eBosser with Teresa Collins Décor Circle embossing folder. I love the texture it gave my borders!

These are two must have tools!

I love the circle in a circle texture I achieved with my eBosser and great folder. I also used Tim Holtz’s Distress inkpad to add the vintage stain!
On the flip side I made a sweet Valentine’s declaration!

I used a inkadinkado stamp for my lovely hummer! I love the great feeling of having two cards in one. As simple as flipping the card around.
I am so happy that my life is filled with great products from Craftwell as well as Teresa Collins!

Have a wonderful week and see you next week!

Inspiration Reminder!

Reminder to be Inspired and Know that I care!

I love that  Teresa Collins inspired me with her wonderful line called “You are My Happy”!  I always looking for ways to empower and remind me of how valuable I am to myself. It is so easy to put everything and everyone else ahead of you so I created this great reminder desk accessory with an added journal inside for photos or just for writing something to me!

Camera 360

I used some of my favorite items to create this. I love the laughing cow cheese boxes and look forward to opportunities to use them when ever I can. So I started with taking the labels off of the box. I then cut a four inch circle to cover the box and  also used some Bazzill paper to create the box ring that I ran thru the eBosser. I used Teresa Collins Embossing folder Décor Circles to make the ring around my box.’

I also cut 4 inch circles with my eCraft for the inside working journal pages inside of the box.

Camera 360

I love all of the cool embellishments that are in my collection! Teresa Collins thought of everthing. I made my top so that I can change the sentiment on top daily!

Camera 360

I used a Styrofoam Easter egg to make the slotted holder for my daily affirmations.  I love the sayings and hope that they will instill a daily positive outlook for me!

Camera 360

Thank you so much Teresa Collins for the fun that I am having! I hope that all recognize the wonder that is you!

Have a great week,

A Bun Warming Quilt for the HOlidays!

A Bun Warming Quilt for the Holidays!

I was under the gun but it is done!!! So many thought how crazy to start a quilt two weeks before Christmas …can she finish it…Sure because it isn’t a people quilt but a “bun” warmer for Christmas dinner rolls.
Camera 360
I am so excited about it and can’t wait to give it to my Daughter for her Christmas dinner.
Last week I spoke to you about cutting that fabric out with the eBosser. It surely cut my time way down. So here is my recipe
Supplies and steps :
The hexagon fabric pieces sewn together to make a sixteen inch strip that is six and a half inches wide. I had a solid piece of material for the backing and a strip of batting for the inside.  I sewed the three layers together and dropped the feed dogs down and just did some quick free motion work. If you don’t know how just make straight stitch lines back and forth and it will look nice as well.
bun2
I cut a square of material (muslin) eighteen and a half inches wide and long. I turned the edge under and sewed it down for the hem. You can use stitch witchery for this if you don’t sew. I then turned down a corner and sewed my strip on to the large square. This way I can wrap the rolls and the quilted pieces helps hold the warmth in the basket.
bun3
I hope you enjoyed my creation, know that I wish the warmth of this Holiday Season be with all of you! Don’t forget to reach out to others it is a wonderful gift.
