Cinco de Mayo Hop

Hopping along on Cinco de Mayo!

My project is an easy one. I love to create personalized things and this chipboard  plaque was perfect. I used it, papers from the fabulous Sabor Papel company and my eBrush to create this plaque.

All my supplies! I love metallic Sharpies and they work great in my eBrush!

Taping down a stencil for some wicked alphabet lettering!

A quick cut and the background is done.

I love working with my eBrush and Sabor Papel makes such great fun. Don’t forget to craft everyday!

Incredible Egg Fun!

I love eggs…I clean the shells out if I am going to use them for baking or scrambling. I love the texture. I decided to create something a little different, a box made from an egg. I had to cut it in half it was fairly easy with a rotary grinder and a cut off wheel. I then used several of the products from AlteredPages including a Mailbox Muse stamp set.

Steampunk Grumpies Goggles Journal Band/Bookmarker

This month I have had fun playing with a digital stamp. I am relatively new to them and find that they are super because you can resize them to suit your needs. I love the crisp look and find the Smeared Ink Steampunk Grumpies line filled with fun characters. I selected Steampunk Grumpies Goggles for my character. I decided a long time ago I wanted a book mark for my art journal. I dislike the cover that is more an advertisement for the company who produced it so I use the cardboard side as my cover. Well now my little buddy will have a great home holding my place as I work….

Berry Girl Sketch

I love colored pencils. I love all art mediums and media…lol…. Royal & Langnickel products are all over my studio and have been for years. I love their products and could barely contain my excitement when AlteredPages began carrying them. So today I am sharing a sketch of my grand-daughter in her berry picking finery. This is a simple quick sketch and will be a gift for the up and coming holiday season. I was so happy to see one of my handmade gifts finished 9 weeks before Christmas!! One down. I hope you enjoy my watercolor pencil sketch as I show you my process. I didn’t use my regular photo to rely on. This one was from my memory and I love it. 

I am no stranger to color pencils..

Louisiana Masked!

 

I love Louisiana! I would love to share the feeling that exist there. The warmth, love and fun that we all share. I know that many people think of Louisiana as a place filled with party living lifetyles, Mardi Gras and indulgences. So much more than that. Louisiana is rich in history, dialects, and food. Halloween Wreath for AlteredPages Design Team!

I am so excited about Halloween. I don’t really do much for the day but love to make fun stuff to enjoy it. I love using stuff that normally would have been thrown away. Yes my husband is always chiding me about my hoarder ways. I saw this “craft” paper packing and how to save it for something..It worked fabulously with this project. I want to remind all that there is no glue holding the paper to the wire. I used only the chalk paint to make it stay. It is very sturdy. I love all of the great supplies that AlteredPages has. These items help my imagination soar. I also found by using the little Pots I am more organized…FEAR, FEAR of organization…that really scares me. I hope you enjoy my post!
