Christmas Diorama
I really have embraced the Christmas season with a fever. I had a dream about creating a lighted Diorama with snow and Santa. So I made it come true!
I don’t know why but I really did dream about this. Only I was tiny and playing in the Sleigh with Santa.
So here it goes, The first thing I did was find the perfect papers for my project. I love the beautiful Foil papers that are out there so I found a wonderful assortment. I used beautiful paper collections from The Paper Studio : Christmas Traditions with foil and Citrus Cardstock from DCWV.
I used SVG files purchased from SVGcuts. I enjoy their product line and thought that I could manipulate the files so that they would fit my needs.
My Craftwell eCraft again worked like a charm cutting cleanly all of my papers. I was so happy.
I enlarged the file so that I could make the drum very large. See how clean my cuts are.’
These papers actually made my project look like metal in real time.
I enjoyed working on the project especially the tiny part that I shared with you in previous post.
Next I built my scene. It required a platform to be inserted into the drum to hold all of the diorama.
Here you can see how tiny it really is. Those trees are painted and then dipped in flock. I worked very hard on the tiny pieces but was delighted with the wonderful cut I got with the eCraft.
I actually made a light harness for the inside of the drum. So in addition to the velum for sunlight or exterior light to illuminate my project I also had the addition of my own tiny leds. I hope that you enjoy my projects.
I love sharing my creative spirit with you! I want to wish all of you a wonderful Christmas. i
